We rely upon you to provide

  • Regular attendance at our once per month meetings (member companies are required to be represented at a total of 6 meetings annually)
  • Active participation in our efforts to benefit the industry and the Association through discussions, project work (we attempt to complete two projects per year), and occasional hosting of a meeting/providing an educational component if/when you are able to do so
  • A willingness to share perspectives, ideas, and mutually beneficial opportunities with your member colleagues
  • A nominal annual contribution to support the local and state organization (currently $225.00 per year)

Wisconsin Green Industry Federation
One of the single most significant benefits associated with your WLCA membership is automatic affiliation with the WGIF. In addition to being a part of the local green scene through your WLCA chapter, you have a voice at the state level through this important organization—a nonprofit association which markets, promotes, defends, and advances the interests of its green industry members. Comprised of two representatives each from the member organizations listed below, this group meets throughout the calendar year to promote the development of all phases of ornamental horticulture professionals, including (but not limited to) legislative matters. In the course of forwarding this agenda, the WGIF:
Works through lobbyists to mold and guide policies related to the green industry
Promotes and advances the employ of ethical practices among all horticulture professionals
Coordinates joint efforts involving green professionals and industry organizations
Gathers, analyzes, and disseminates information of general interest to its members, as well as to the general public
Promotes industry news, helpful information, and approved practices to help members stay abreast of industry developments via your free subscription to The Green Side Up, the WGIF’s monthly publication
Engages in any lawful and ethical practice which may enhance the professional and economic progress of the horticultural community
